The "Swiss Malignant Hyperthermia Association (SMHA)" was founded in June 1995.
Malignant Hyperthermia (MH) - susceptible persons from all over Switzerland wanted to belong to an organized group.

The MH is a gene modification. A MH susceptible person makes an allergic reaction to certain anaesthetics. The disturbance of the calcium metabolism in the skeletal musculature causes a lethal rise of the body temperature which can lead to death.

Become a member of the SMHA. An association with many members has more strength and influence for the requests of its afflicted members. It can operate more efficiently in educational campaigns and in public relations.

We now have our own website since February 1997 and in this way we hope to make our information more easily available to you.
